Necklace chains

Chain length is a personal choice and depends on where you would like the pendant to fall. This may depend on if you have a specific outfit you intend to wear a necklace with or be a practical consideration, such as not wanting the pendant to hang too low.

A longer chain can create an optical illusion whereby the wearer looks proportionally taller whereas a shorter chain will sit closer to the neck and draw attention to the collar bones.

To gauge what length of chain you would like you could simply use a piece of string cut to the length of the chain to ‘mock-up’ how the necklace will look. Don’t forget to pull the centre front of the string down a little to mimic the weight of a pendant.

Rings

It is important to wear the correct ring size for your finger as it will ensure your ring is both secure on your finger and comfortable to wear.

It can be difficult to know what ring size to purchase without being able to try on first. Here are a couple of solutions to enable you to purchase the correct size:

1.     If you have a ring you know fits you, you can download and print the ring size guide. Print on A4 and make sure that you print at 100% size. Check the scale against a ruler before using.

To use, simply line up your existing ring with the size that matches the inside diameter of your ring. This method is perfect if you are buying a ring as a surprise gift.

2.     Use a ring sizer, which can be purchased here: Ring sizer

To use, put the ring sizer around your finger and tighten until you achieve a comfortable fit. Once tightened to a comfortable fit, it is important that you check that the ring sizer can still pass over the knuckle.
